Cuisine American
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar packed
- 2 eggs lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips I use Guittard Milk Chocolate Baking Chips
Preheat oven to 350°. In a medium sized bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir with a fork and set aside. Place the brown sugar in the bottom of another large bowl and fluff gently with a fork, breaking up any lumps. Add the beaten eggs and stir with the fork until smooth with no brown sugar lumps. Add the melted butter and the vanilla. Stir well.
Now add the flour mixture to the brown sugar mixture. Mix together well with a spatula. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Spred into a greased 8x8 baking pan; or use the Reynolds Release 8X8 square non stick foil pan. Bake at 350° for about 25-30 minutes. They should be golden brown on top. Every oven is different, so check for doneness after 25 minutes by inserting a toothpick close to the center of the pan. When it comes out clean they are done.
Cool in pan for about 15 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into bars and serve. Enjoy!
