Ingredients

  • 2-3 pounds peeled, large fresh shrimp can use unpeeled
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup beer
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon hot sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2-1 teaspoon cayenne pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon each kosher salt and black pepper
  • 3 lemons sliced
  • fresh lemon juice, sprinkle of fresh parsley for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400℉.
Line a baking sheet with foil (or use a disposable 13x9 foil pan placed on top of a baking sheet); spray lightly with cooking spray.
Cut the butter into 3 pieces and place in the pan.
  • Combine beer and next 8 ingredients in a measuring cup and set aside.
Now put the pan with butter pieces in it into the oven to melt the butter. When butter is melted, add the shrimp and the beer/spice mixture and stir well. Arrange the sliced lemons on the pan amidst the shrimp.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until shrimp is pink in color and done. Serve with rice or pasta, a big green salad and some French bread. Enjoy!
