Buttery Sauteed Mushrooms with Garlic

These super simple, super delicious Buttery Sauteed Mushrooms with Garlic are a fabulous side dish that can be ready in about 10 minutes. With steak, pastas, chicken, you name it – these mushrooms go with just about anything. I love being able to quickly throw a few ingredients into a skillet and know that it will always turn out right. This is one of those recipes.

Buttery Sauteed Mushrooms with Garlic
Buttery, garlicky, and full of flavor, serve these mushrooms with steak, pastas, pork, chicken. They go with anything!
Ingredients
- 4 Tablespoons butter
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 shallot chopped fine, optional
- 16 ounces white button mushrooms or baby bella brown mushrooms
- 3 cloves garlic, minced I use 3 Trader Joe's Duroc brand frozen garlic cubes
- 2 Tablespoons white wine
- pinch red pepper flakes
- 1 Tablespoon chopped fresh parsley plus more for serving
- kosher salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Melt butter together with the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. When butter is melted, add the mushrooms and saute for about 3-4 minutes. Add the shallot, if using, and saute another minute or two, until mushrooms are golden and shallot is softened.
- Pour in the white wine and red pepper flakes, and let cook another couple of minutes, reducing the wine slightly. Now add in the garlic and the parsley along with a good pinch of salt and black pepper. Cook another minute and taste for seasonings.
- To serve, sprinkle with some additional chopped parsley and enjoy!
