Army Cake with Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting
Army Cake with Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting is another delicious rendition of my mother-in-law’s vanilla sheet cake. This simple cake that is covered in a delectable vanilla cream cheese frosting is anything but basic! We have decorated this cake over the years for birthdays and served it on many Sundays for dessert after lunch. I have put it together quickly to take to loved ones when needed, and made it for tailgates and parties. When someone close to me asks for an Army Cake, this is the cake they are asking for. A truly versatile staple in my dessert recipe collection.
My family never tires of this yummy Army Cake with Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting! And since it is easy for me to prepare, I am always ready to serve it! Freezes well too. Simply prepare the cake in a rectangular foil cake pan. You can then freeze it before or after the cake is frosted. Must also mention–try this Army Cake with a pourable caramel icing. Check that out here! Both are YUMMY!
